Cloning an app please help?

I've been posting for months with no response so I'm assuming maybe I've been posting in the wrong threads? So I'll try this one. Feel free to move it as necessary. I can't get apkeditor to work on my device. I'd really like a c clone of the app Squid (formerly known an Papyrus) to help with my school work flow.
