Disabled apps information location (file, db, etc.)

When an app is disabled (Settings/Apps/[SomeApp]/Disable button), where is that informations stored? Is it a file (xml, etc.), db or something else? Can someone supply the path (if applicable)?

I would like to manually edit this list if possible and add apps with a greyed-out disable button.

My phone's rooted, btw.
