For people with stock FireOS (5.x), there is an easy way to switch from stock Amazonified look to almost pure Android and back on the fly (no reboots needed) :

The advantage is that pure Amazon experience is available strictly on demand (Amazon eco-system, here I come !!!). If you used any auto-scripts to switch the launcher, do make sure that you have the proper Amazon launcher apk file present, such that it can be enabled back.
