Rooting Redmi note 3 which bootloader is unlocked

Hello everyone, I just bought a Redmi note 3 to discover later that its bootloader is locked,
Will I be able to root it ? I am a newbie so could you please give me more informations about rooting and its relation with locked bootloader and how to root my device ?
