[Review] Montar Air QI car mount

Got one of these the other day from winnergear and really, it's pretty awesome. If you are looking for a qi charger/mount for your phone I would recommend giving this one a look.

It is adjustable in both width and length, I used it successfully with my note 5, lg g3 and s6 edge +. I just returned from a 5 hour round trip that I needed to use my gps for and it not only charged my note fully but it kept it there. The screen was on the entire time with gps running, streaming Google play music and the charger worked flawlessly.

The way the mount holds, and more so, releases your phone is just great. It easily adjusts by sliding the sides or the bottom, insert your phone and just squeeze the sides tight, when you want to remove your phone just push the button on the back and the sides release. If you have used some mounts before, you know what a pain they can be to get your phone in and out, simply not the case with this one.

It comes with a couple mounting options, suction to the window, cup holder or a 3M sticker to attach it with, tho to be honest I didn't use any of those options. I had an old vent mount that I swapped the base with and it worked perfect for my needs. Had I not had that mount one of the included options would have worked just fine.

It includes a lighted power adapter with a universal micro USB end that attaches to the mount which is great, instead of some proprietary plug that if something happens to it the charger is useless.

This mount is well made, feels like quality materials were used in its construction and should be around for years to come. It's easy to use and overall, it's a great option for qi on the go charging.

Poetic Case Review X 2

Hello! Poetic kindly provided me with both their Affinity and Revolution cases for review. As there are a bunch of similar threads here on XDA, I'll try to keep this post brief but informative.

General
One overarching statement I can make about these cases is that they have very distinctive designs, and probably won't appeal to those who appreciate a more minimalist aesthetic (e.g. those who use a Diztronic TPU or Spigen Slim Fit case). Style preferences, are, of course, objective, so I'll try to evaluate design based on function as much as form.

Look and Feel - The case I received has an updated design (compared to the image currently on the Amazon page); the "P" logo is now between the cutouts for the microphone and fingerprint sensor, and the "Affinity" branding has been completely removed. I appreciate these changes, as it no longer obscures the phone's own "nexus" logo and overall reduces visual clutter. I've found the clear polycarbonate to be quite the fingerprint magnet; having not used any other clear cases to compare against, I'm not sure if this is a common thing or not. Hard TPU runs along the back, wraps around the corners, camera cutout, and buttons; however, the sides are a glossy plastic with raised bumps. I'm not fond of this plastic because while it does provide some extra grip, it's not quite as comfortable to hold as the rubber ridges on my Speck Candyshell Grip case. The slim profile of this case adds imperceptible bulk to the phone.
Cutouts - I've found no issues with cutouts for the ports, camera, or fingerprint sensor. Regarding the latter, the edge is pretty steeply bevelled, but doesn't feel sharp when I glide my finger over it. The thin profile of the case makes it not really an issue.
Protection - Speaking of the thin profile, the upper lip barely extends beyond the phone's screen; this is great for people who use (practically) edge-to-edge screen protectors. However, there is still enough of a lip for you to not worry about placing the phone face-down on a surface without a screen protector. Having TPU around all four corners should provide a little extra drop protection, as well. I haven't used the case long enough to see whether the TPU on the rear actually reduces scratching of the clear polycarbonate
Final Thoughts - This is a great case for someone looking for a clear back, but also wanting a bit more grip and drop protection than other clear cases on the market.

Look and Feel - This case is colossal with distinct, military/industrial styling. Personally, I don't really like the fake screws or seemingly-whimsical use of glossy TPU along the sides; if it provides no specific function, I don't think it needs to be a visual element (aside from some branding), in my opinion. If the hard polycarbonate back plate was really bolted onto the second TPU layer, that my opinion would've been different. The Nexus 6P is already a pretty large phone, and this case definitely makes it feel quite a bit bulkier. However, I really like the subtle texture of the TPU along the sides and button covers; it adds a nice amount of grip to an otherwise unwieldy case.
Cutouts - The headphone jack and USB-C ports are guarded by hard plastic and covered with TPU flaps; while I've found no fit issues with my headphones or stock charging cable, those with particularly bulky headphone jacks might run into issues, though the USB port opening is fairly generous. There's a much more gradual bevel towards the fingerprint sensor than with the Affinity case.
Protection - This case is obviously all about protection. The phone is first clipped into a plastic bumper with a built-in plastic screen protector before it's inserted into the TPU/plastic hybrid layer. This thing will be very resilient against drops! Having port covers is great protection against dust. Unfortunately, I found the built-in screen protector to be more of a hindrance than help, as there was a noticeable air gap between the plastic and the tempered glass protector on my phone's screen. This significantly decreased touch sensitivity, and I'd recommend just removing it in favour of a protector directly applied to your phone's screen.
Extra features - Aside from the Seidio Surface, I haven't seen any other phone cases with a built-in kickstand. This one is made of metal and feels very solid - a great addition for those who like watching media and like propping up their phone to do so. There is also a carabiner clip made of the same TPU as the rest of the case, increasing portability as this case is definitely not compatible for those who wear slim-fitting jeans.
Final thoughts - If you work in construction or any other rough/rugged environment, I'd recommend this case for the glut of protective features, short of waterproofness. However, its significant bulk and questionable styling makes me pause to recommend it to an average/casual user who doesn't need this level of protection.

Oriveti Primacy comes with black sturdy package. There are lot of information like specifications, package contents and diagram how these triple driver are packed within the small metal body at back of the package. After opened it, you will find a quick guide. Then the precious jewel Oriveti Primacy itself that well protected with hard foam. And another layer for all the accessories. There are 4 sizes of silicone tips to choose (XS, S, M & L). And they come in 2 pairs per size. Same apply to foam tips (M) as well. Therefore, you will a spare pair if one is missing. There is flight adaptor for use in the plane and 3.5mm to 6.5mm plug for home Hi-Fi system. A pair of ear hooks for sport use. There is an earwax cleaning tool for you to maintain the cleanness of Primacy as well. Lastly, a quality aluminium carrying case with soft thin foam on top and bottom to well keep Primacy and some needed accessories. By the way, the quick guide is very useful to keep you started and enjoy Primacy.





Design & Build Quality
Oriveti Primacy is just like a tank. Build quality is excellent thanks to robust metal body. So no worry about its durability. In addition, its surface is so smooth to touch and you will hardly feel the seamless joint of the 2 piece metals that cover the hybrid drivers. Furthermore, the housing is small for 3 drivers yet provide the best ergonomic shape for maximum comfort. And pretty easy to identify left / right channel as there are white R and L inside of each housing. Plus ORIVETI for right and a big O for left on outside. The nozzle is 90 degree and without any filter. So earwax cleaning tool is there for you when needed. On top, there is MMCX connector. If you look carefully, you will find an opening near MMCX connector. Yup, that’s the vent hole for dynamic driver. And it is invisible when attached with cable yet still provide enough air for that driver. Cool, isn’t it?





The black detachable silver plated copper cable is also top-notch in quality. And provide the best sound possible too. Soft and almost tangle free. There are 4 twisted wires connected from 3.5 mm gold plated straight plug up to Y-splitter. Then slit into 2 pairs till MMCX jacks which have R label for right channel and 3 dots for left. By the way, there is a clear plastic chin slider too.



Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Oriveti Primacy is designed to be worn over the ear. And they fit well thanks to small and smooth housing with or without included ear hooks. Pleasant and comfort to wear for long hours. No issue to listen to music when lying down on bed here. As for ear tip fitting, S size silicone tips give me the best result among all. I can get good and tight seal. However, Sony hybrid ones suit me even better. In addition, there is no sound leakage. And sound isolation is excellent as well. I hardly hear environment noises. By the way, there is virtually no microphonic at all by wearing over the ear. Yes, you still can wear Primacy with cable down method but you will notice some microphonics then.





Sound Quality
Wow… Oriveti Primacy is super easy to drive with 11 Ohm impedance. There is no need external amp to get the full potential out of it. It performs just fine on my Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone and Nexus 7 (2013) tablet. And of course even better on dedicated Lotoo PAW 5000 DAP and Zorloo ZuperDAC USB DAC. Yes, you don’t have to be an audiophile to discover the greatness of Primacy. Your existing smartphone and tablet’s audio quality no matter iPhone, iPad or Android devices will automatically level up. Yup, don’t limit Primacy for high res music only. It shines on the usual stuffs like MP3, YouTube MV, games and movies too.



Overall, Oriveti Primacy has smooth and balanced sound signature. Detailed and dynamic. Soundstage is wide and instruments placement separation is clear even in the complex scene. Arcason by Candido Camero and Oh by Dave Matthews surely performs very well here. You can listen to it all day long without getting fatigued. And shines on all the POP, R&B and country genre songs that I love. I believe it is suitable for other genres as well. Highs are smooth and no harshness whatsoever. Analytical and clarity on the gentle side. Mids perform well too. Vocals no matter male or female sound natural and a bit forward closer to ear yet still play along with other instruments nicely. As usual, it is loaded with clarity and details. Yup, I do enjoy the clarity of the guitar and sweet vocal with Taylor Swift’s songs like Tim McGraw and Mean that it brings. Bass is tight, fast and well in controlled. Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, Beat It and Black or White surely sound great here.

These lens are awesome!
When connected to my iPhone 4, I am able to produce stunning images without any software alterations. Unfortunately, the clip that houses the lens does not fit my HTC One m8.

[Review] Mpow Grip Air Vent Car Mount Holder Cradle

This is a great phone holder!

Usage:
I have this phone holder in my 2005 Nissan Altima without any issues. It securely holds my HTC One m8 and iPhone 4 in even the most aggressive driving.

Conclusion: This phone holder is a great solution for states where using a windshield suction-cup is illegal. This is a great device that I have been using day-to-day.

This Bluetooth Headset is awesome!

Paired devices:
iPhone 4, HTC One m8, MacBook Air, Nvidia Shield Portable

Usage: I use use this headset day-to-day to listen to music on my HTC One m8 and it's awesome! I am able to listen to music and hear external noises without any issues. On an average day, on the medium setting, I can get about 5 hours of the estimated battery life. The great thing about this headset is that it charges fully within several minutes.

Conclusion:

This is a great Bluetooth audio streaming device!
I have this device in my 2005 Nissan Altima and paired to my HTC One m8. The audio quality is fantastic and I have not encountered any distortion. I love that the device is very discrete and portable enough to stow away when not in use.

I love this Bluetooth FM transmitter! Its extremely easy to use and easy to stow away when not in use.

Usage:
I use this transmitter in my 1993 Mazda Miata and my 2005 Nissan Altima. I have it paired to my HTC One m8. The transmitter quickly pairs to my phone upon twisting the key in my ignition. I love the fact that I am easily able to transport this transmitter to any car with ease.
