I know with kernels that certain settings work better for different phones/hardware, but I'm wondering if the toolchain that the ROM or kernel is compiled with could lead to instability?
I recently tested Benzo ROM and Uberstock to give the new Uber toolchain a try and see what it was like. I only flashed the ROMs and the recommended Gapps packages for each clean install. Benzo ROM was completely usable but scrolling on my devices would stutter quite a bit.
I also tried Uberstock released by the DespairDev team. Standard Google apps would crash (using slim-gapps-6.0 beta) and the phone would stop responding to my touch.
My question is: Does my phone not like the Uber toolchain or should I be looking for another common thread for this issue? People rave about that toolchain but on builds compiled with it I see a performance decrease compared to stock which is strange.
