What will happen if I install update on rooted device?

Hello,
I tried to find answers for my question but didn't find anything helpful.
I've got rooted device with custom recovery - TWRP.
What will happen if I install update from OTA on this device?
Will it brick? If yes, how should I update it to not brick it?
