The display has broken down but the device itself is working, how can I utilize it?

On my android device the display has broken down, whereas the device itself is working. Without recovering the display, which I don't know how to do, how can I control and utilize my device? Via ssh? How exactly?
Or what are other ways to utilize it including programming, downloading something from the internet on a regular basic, using it as a web server?

xposed framework can't be installed on my device

Setting static IP prevents device remembering WiFi password, prevents auto-connect

Note4, N910T3, rooted, but otherwise stock Android 5.1.1 from T-Mobile/Samsung's OTA update. Having trouble with WiFi and static IP:

If I use DHCP, WiFi works fine. It'll remember my LAN's WiFi password and auto-connect when available.

However, problems occur when I try to use a static IP (yes, I have reason to want a static IP within my LAN, but the reasons aren't relevant to the issue here):

First (this is the smaller issue, but still goofy and annoying), when I go to "Modify Network Config" Android won't allow me to set a static ip unless I'm already connected to the given network. It'll let me change "IP settings" from "DHCP" to "Static", but the "IP address" setting is greyed out. I have to connect using DHCP first, only then will it allow me to change the "IP address" setting for a static IP.

But here's the far bigger problem: Once I have worked around that issue and actually set a static IP, the next time I leave the network and come back (or just turn WiFi off and back on) it no longer auto-connects. When I try to manually connect, it's forgotten both the WiFi password and the static IP setting.

How can I make Android remember WiFi network settings AND use a static IP for a given connection?

How to convert CDMA M8 (Sprint/VZW) in a GSM/Global device

Hi all, today I want to thank all the xda users with a little guide. Here I found a lot of help and I want to share my new knowledge.

Sprint and VZW M8 are CDMA devices used in the US, and based on HTC site works on these LTE bands:
EMEA: 800/900/1800/2600 MHz
Asia: 700/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz
AT&T: 700/850/AWS/1800/1900/2600 MHz
Sprint: FDD 800/1900 MHz , TDD 2600 MHz
Verizon: 700/AWS/1800/2600 MHz
TMUS: 700/AWS MHz
Is these an hardware limit? Is the VZW really made with different hardware? Some says yes, but generally I'm a donkey and I always want to try to brick my phone :laugh:

What happens when you are overseas?
You can sim unlock your device by the code supplied by US carrier, also by unlocking bootloader and installing new custom rom (GPE/cyano); but the "firmware" will restrict the bands in order to the original carrier frequencies!!!
So:
for VZW; you can call with a gsm mode but NOT use LTE with some carriers;
for Sprint: any EU sim will not be recognized at first boot! you ever going to settings and put global mode, dial *#*#4636#*#* to set GSM/LTE auto mode and AUS bands, return to settings to set LTE (very annoying issue).
for both: often GPS does not work!

SOLUTION: you can convert the CDMA device in a Global one (DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, Obviously)
1) First, go S-OFF
2) Unlock bootloader
3) put a non-red text firmware and install recovery in one step (choose your current modelID here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2710503)

4) Boot the stock rom and make a GPS fix with any GPS Toolbox (prevention), then reboot

adb shell

7) Install any custom rom you want and enjoy a full unlocked worldwide bands device!
You can also convert in a GPE one. Probably the device also accept a firmware of a different model ID but I haven't any interest to reflash it, the phone works great!
8) If GPS does not work, restore the original rom, make a fix, reboot, wipe and reinstall custom rom; if GPS works you can delete the stock backup.

How do I prevent an Android from rerouting audio to external device?

I have a pico projector to which I hook up via wifi (and at other times via hdmi)
Naturally, audio also gets rerouted to HORRIBLE speakers on the mini projector.

My phone speakers, on the other hand, are actually pretty decent and around 500% louder than the miniscule mono speakers on the projector.

So the question is, how can I prevent my phone from rerouting the audio signal.
Or, is it possible to split the audio, so that it plays both on the phone and the projector.

I am using android 4.4 rooted.

Device is Rooted,Still Cannot Remove Bloatware

My device is rooted.

I've read a few other topics regarding this issue, but I'm still confused. As I understand it, using typical uninstall apps such as Titanium or Root Uninstaller do not remove the manufacturer apps from the phone still because of an S feature? I'm new to this process, so please forgive my naive rhetoric. I tried those programs, and as previously stated in other posts, the bloatware comes back.

I installed AROMA file manager to try and manually find the bloatware and delete the physical files, but I can't find the files that I'm looking to delete. I don't mind taking the time and manually deleting these unnecessary files, but, I need some guidance on where to look (or any other viable solutions.)

[Q] ADB Device Unauthorized - No Solutions Provided Worked

Hello fellow xda-members,

my ADB isn't working anymore. I own an LG G4 H815 Intl and a windows 10 computer. When I bought the G4 and rooted it ADB worked without a hassle.

Now, 6 months later, ADB is gone. I tried

SM-T800 stock device stuck on splashscreen

I came home today to find my SM-T800 suddenly turned on and with the Samsung bootloader splashscreen. Did a reset, but it just came back to the splashscreen. I'm able to enter Odin mode, but it just stops on

For sure root is needed so that u can use a root explorer app, like
Root Explorer, ES File Explorer..etc with full read/write permission
Editing the file on PC is possible too, use Notepad++ or something.
For replace follow same way to file and replace it with the new
one with permission rw-r-r-- 0644, dont forget to mount system before.
When have a explorer open it and navigate to:
system/etc and scroll down until you see the file called:
mixer_path.xml
save a copy from it (just in case), open it with text editor and look
for the following lines to edit its values. There two sections in
which u have to edit lines,in both sections you need same score
Its a little difficult to find this lines, so i have do some shots
to see where u can find it, look on the scrolling line from explorer
on left side,i marked it red, or search the lines, the first three
lines u find directly in the first "area" called:

This is what shows up when I try to login to my ADM.
