Why are there so many duplicates on my phone after using Link2SD

I have noticed that the internal storage of my tablet is filling up even though I have tried to link as many of the apps as possible to the SD card using Link2sd. I did a quick search for duplicates using Search Duplicate File(Super). What I found was that 1117 files where duplicated in both the /mnt/internal_sd/ and /mnt/external_sd directories. Any idea why this has happened, and how I can free up this space?

I have searched both paths and none of them are symbolic links to the other. These are actual duplicates of the files.

Blue screen after serious slow down

In case anyone else suffers the same symptoms - a couple of weeks ago, my G3 started running really slowly (and possibly a bit hotter).

Booting from cold seemed to take a long time and the ui starred freezing temporarily on a regular basis.

I was waiting for an ota marshmallow update and hoped that would fix whatever was making it go slow.

I was wrong.

The other night, I was using it and the screen went bright blue and the phone then started boot looping. Sometimes it only got as far as the LG logo and other times it for all the way to the lock screen (on a couple of occasions I could get to the desktop and use the phone 'normally'). Every time it ended up blue screening and then rebooting.

Ultimately, it was dead and despite managing a full wipe, nothing fixed it.

As a phone, when it worked it was ok but cracking screen, poor call quality (only realised that when I got a different phone) and general slow downs (possibly related to overheating (and I could only infrequently increase screen brightness to full because of the warning about overheating) means that I think this phone has been fair rather than excellent.

after KNOX verification is tripped can you still use samsung pay?

I've read online that if you trip KNOX verification that the phone disables the functionality of Samsung pay.
I'm just asking if there has been anyone who has rooted and flashed a custom ROM and then successfully been able to use Samsung pay.
the warranty isn't what I'm worried about its the fact that it would prevent me from using new features released.

Samsung note 5 n920s asking password after reset

Hello ,
i have a "Samsung galaxy note 5 n920s". I do hard reset and also reset "FRP lock" With ultimate multi tool. my problem is that it is asking "password " instead of going to language selection screen.

I have done
1. Factory reset
2. Flash through odin
3. Downgrade through odin
4. Root with "cf auto root"
5. Installed twrp custom recovery

But nothing works for me it still shows a screen with "call me button , Enter password and emergency call button".
Any help please

Not charging after a water "event"?

My wife transitioned into my older GS4 (i337) after her GS3 power button failed. The GS3 was repaired and set aside as a spare (good idea). After getting settled into the GS4, it experienced a water "event". She was wise enough to pull the battery and get it into some rice. It stayed there for a few hours until I could get to it. She said it only had a little water inside, but the rice was a precaution. The water indicator on the battery only had one tiny bit of pink . Guessing the Trident Aegis case did some good protecting there. I took the phone out of the rice and placed it under a desk lamp that has a history of being a bit of a heat lamp. I used it to warm the phone for a few hours before I checked the phone's viability.

I kept the SIM and the SD card out for first power up attempt. ALIVE! I noticed that the battery was low, so I connected a charger. No chargee. Reboot no help. Powered off and attempted to charge. When powered off, it did give a short vibration and a quick screen flash, maybe a few lines, every 6 seconds. Expecting that the phone would work, but not have charging capabilities. Quite inconvenient.

What parts could I throw at it? Since the charging port was really the only place water could have gotten in while the phone was on, I decided to throw that part at it. I found this one (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00) on Amazon, so figgered I would give it a chance. Took about 20 minutes to replace it.

Jackpot. Charged right up, plobby faster than I had previously experienced.

If you experience a water "event" and the device wakes, but won't charge, this could be the fix. The part I ordered came with everything you need (tools). There are several videos on youtube that show you everything you need to know. Watch a few before you begin. Some have hints and pointers that others don't.

Maintain/Remember Changed items position after restarting app (Using ItemTouchHelper)

Hello, I'm having a problem in remembering items position after being changed, I'm using ItemTouchHelper to achieve the drag and drop effect, after being changed, restarting will reset the changes back to the default.

So, What's the way to maintain the changed positions ?

Asus Zenfone 5 poor performance after few weeks from root

I have rooted my Zenfone 5 and it worked fine with no problems at first. Apps runs fine with out crashing or lagging.
However after a few weeks from rooting my phone, I've noticed some poor performance. some apps jitters/lags or just crashes. However, if an application crashes, be it a game or something else, my whole phone crashes. I find it strange when a game/app crashes everything else crashes, ZenUI stop responding etc..
I have no idea why is this happening because I have not downloaded any apps or anything from the internet during those weeks. (aside from apps updating it's self from google play store)
I have no choice but to hard reset the device by holding down the power button. I did try to reinstall the applications that crashes but it's still the same.

Any help or suggestions? I'll probably try to unroot my phone later if it fixes anything.

Phone model number changed after flashing rom

Hi ,

I have a flashed a rom that I think did not work for my model ( Now my phone says model number is SM-G925K) and I have no more signal. I believe the model number is the issue, but I'm not sure...

It was supposed to be a SM-G920W8.

Any idea how I can reverse it back?

Laggy phone after few minutes of use

Hi! Im just wondering if I have bad phone or it is fine? My phone starts lagging after few minutes of use (when it gets warmer). It is not bad, but everything is launching slower and I see more FPS drops in animations.. Thank you..

Help tl09 keeps restarting after marshmallow b511

Hi mates, I did a rollback to B326 and then updated to B511. The update was very fast (less than 10 seconds) and the phone restarted as usual. But it rerestarted over and over and I juste don't know what to do. I didn't à factory reste but it didn't work.
If anyone could help me it would be greaat ! Thank you :)

Caught in a Boot Loop after Rooting

Hi folks,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720, 16 GB, Black Mist, Sprint. I bought it from SamsClub this past August and it's connected to the Sprint network through FreedomPop.<Link removed>
FreedomPop doesn't matter in this situation though, but I thought the extra information may help.

This morning I wanted to try rooting it with SuperUS which was already on my phone. Somehow the operation failed and the phone needed to reboot. So I rebooted it, but it would just sit there.. loading. It couldn't get past the FreedomPop loading screen, I left it for about 20 minutes but it was still loading and the back of the phone was really hot. I tried booting into Recovery Mode and that worked so I did a system restore in hopes that that would fix all my problems, but it still wouldn't get past the loading screen. So, I tried clearing the Cache and the Dalvick cache and that didn't help either.

So.. I decided to try to return my phone to stock using Odin and stock Firmware. Everything was going great, but then Odin stopped and said the operation failed. Here's the log.

N910G restarts multiple times after flashing with stock rom from sammobile

Hello,

I have been using my N910G with DN5 rom by Dr.Ketan. Later when I had issues like device lagging, I flashed it with the stock rom from sammobile which is the australian version. BOH4

Now, everything seems fine, but the device restarts on its own, sometimes just gets stuck and I have to remove the battery and start the phone again. Most of the times, it gets stuck, vibrates twice, immediately restarts.

How else can we fix this issue? Please help!

no settings screen after flahing rom

tried to flash the custom rom of note 3 to my alcatel onetouch mpop c9.since it was my first time I didnt backuped my stock rom, so now after flashing the note3 rom by using CTR recovery mod just a few changes like widgets and wallpapers of note3 came and also some icons.. but the side effects wighs more, i lost my settings screen, thers no setting shortcut in the app drawer and if i try to get it from the notification bar it wont open.. also the gallery is not showing anything which my sd card contains.. top of all it shows no network for the sim.

NB:must understand that i cannot connect to wifi or share necessary apps by Bluetooth because my settings screen is not there. if anyone like to help me please be in a way that a beginner can understand because this is ma first time. thank you all.

[CM 13] Bootloops after installing nightly updates

Hi guys!
my phone seems to have issues with dirty flashes.
A few days ago i successfully clean installed cm 13 from stock. so far, so good.
I decided to use the nightly updates so i downloaded the latest build from the built in updater(i also tried to install the nightlies manually but still no success)
The installation by itself did not show any errors but when i reboot the phone from the recovery(TWRP) it gets stuck in a bootloop. this happened with every nightly so far but when i clean installed them they worked fine.

Am i doing something wrong and does anybody experience the same issue?
i appriciate every tip on how to solve this problem because i am not going to clean install the nightlies and set up the phone over and over again

Help! No mobile connection after flashing stock rom!

So I am really new to rooting/flashing roms (like just started experimenting 5 days ago). I (or rather my phone) have been through smart phone hell. I successfully rooted my device, and the first ROM I flashed was liquidsmooth (don't judge). At this point everything still worked. So (being the greedy person that I am) I decided to try a different one, this time cyanogenmod. It happened to be the latest version (the marshmallow-like one). Once this booted up, I realized I could no longer connect to the network, only WiFi. So I reset it back to liquidsmooth (using a restore I made with ClockworkMod), only now my data still didn't work. After trying several versions of cyangenmod and ultimately getting my binary counter up to 9, I finally decided to try and get back to the stock samsung version I had before (sprint). After a lot of messing around, I was finally successful in this respect and now am back to Android 5.0.1 (lollipop). STILL NO DATA. I looked at my APNs and they are all grayed out (I can't select one) and none are selected. I don't know too much about this, or if this is even causing the problem. Any help would be appreciated!

Samsung Tab 3 T110 Stuck on CWM recovery after factory reset

Greetings!

I recently had a problem with my android tablet. I rooted my Galaxy Tab T110 like last year and it was all perfect. I got Super User and ROM toolbox. It worked flawlessly, until last weekend when I did a factory reset cuz I was gonna sell it. But to my surprise when it rebooted it opened up the CWM recovery menu and it won't load the system anymore. It's just stuck there, it won't turn off or do anything for that matter.

I want to know what could have gone wrong and if there is a way to fix it. I tried to re-root it with Odin following the instructions I used from this site, but no luck. Can any one help me?

Google Play Services Killing Battery after Root and Notifying that I need to Update?

New to this, but was able to gain root access on my Droid Maxx XT1080 with all the help of the forums and developers, thank you! Wifi tether works great now, but now I keep getting the notification in my status bar that a system update is downloaded and ready to install. I need this to go away, I already downloaded the Disable Service app and followed the instructions to remove the System update under Google Services Framework and Google Play Services...it keeps notifying me of the update ready to install. What do I need to do to get it to stop asking?

Also, more importantly, I noticed that Google Play Services is killing my Battery, it is the top user, I am looking at the monitor right now and since taking ti off the charger this morning at 7:30am, I am down to 89% battery at 11:30am, not bad really, but looking at what is using it, Google Play Services is using 60% of the battery, my screen is at 12% and it has always been the top user...why is this happening and how can I fix it?
