Phone won't charge.. Possible damaged port?

Ok so my moto style refuses to charge with my stock turbo charger. The turbo charger charges my other devices just fine, but refuses to charge my moto x. I tried another wall adapter which also wouldn't work, yet my USB cable charges the phone just fine??.

I'm kinda confused and wondering if it's a problem with my charging port. Which kinda sucks cause now I gotta deal with motos tech support, but I was wondering if anyone had any similar issues

Notification/toast msg from root shell script possible?

Hi,

I am searching for a way to send a notification or a toast messages (Android 5 and above) from a running shell script. Is there any possibility to do so? (I am not a java developer!)

I want to be notified if my userinit.sh has completed or things like that.

Possible temp root?

I remember being able to achieve temp root on the Verizon Note 4 using king root, then using supersume to remove all remnants of kingroot minus supersu. The root would last until the phone was rebooted. You were able to do most things except modify system files. Anyone think this would work on our Note 5? Trying to find the thread to link here.

[Q] Is it possible on Android 6.x to have custom lockscreen and how to contribute ?

Hi,

Since I moved to a custom Rom for Oppo Find7a (last installed and kept: crDroid from jejecule), I do not have my cover window lock screen feature anymore.
I have red that Android now in Android M has removed all lockscreen widget so I don t know if it is now possible to set specific process in lockscreen ?
I have a flip cover with a window and I just want to see there time, and some notif when touching the "seeable" screen when flip cover applied.
I can may be help, contribute in code, if it is not too hard and makeable.

I also miss the color os weather lockscreen and don t know if it can be integrated in Android 6.0 (I tried to flash it 5.x.x and did not work).

[Q] Downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0.1 on T-Mobile (SM-N915T) possible? Maybe even 4.4.4

Has anyone else downgraded from 5.1.1 to 5.0.1 or 4.4.4 on the T-Mobile variant? I have done some searching and I have seen that some people feel it may brick the phone. I have seen some go from 5.0.1 to 4.4.4, but not from 5.1.1. When I received my Edge it was already on 5.1.1 but the battery life is pretty awful and I am hoping for better results on 5.0.1.

I have already tripped KNOX and am running RiverRom if it matters.

[Q] Is it possible to use a nandroid backup with Recuva?

Hey Everyone, I'm a long lurker here but I really need some help. I'll try my best to keep it short.

Yesterday I deleted a folder from my internal memory on my moto g 3rd gen that wiped the internal memory and my SD card. I was able to recovery my sd card completely using recuva by connecting it to my PC using an adapter. My internal memory on the other hand doesn't mount as a mass storage as you guys probably know so recuva is useless. I was using This guide but after hours of not being able to retrieve any mmcblk files that weren't the size of 0 I gave up. Instead I made a nandroid back up using TWRP recovery.

So my only question is, am I able to go through a variation of the same steps as the guide I mentioned to be able to use recuva with my TWRP backup or will I have to do something completely different? If so what do i have to do?

also, I've tried apps like disk digger and undeleter but I don't think they do a very good job. Thanks for the help.
