Xposed is not ( yet ) compatible with android sdk version 19 or your processor architecture ( armeabi-v7a ).
Warning: linker: /data/datade.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process has text relocations. This is wasting memory and is a security risk. Please fix.

KK Xposed

I know KK is old but why am I having such difficulties finding information? That's's not my real question though. I finally got V4A to work and now I'm trying to get Xposed installed. I've got the apk file, that's's easy, but I can't find anything on the file I need to flash in TWRP.

Can anyone help me out? I assume I'm looking for something regarding sdk 19.

[XPOSED] Get it working on Marshmallow with this .zip file

Hello xda-members,

as most of you love and like xposed and v79 doesn't work with LG G4 and Marshmallow (bootloop), @rovo89 uploaded a zip file on github, with which xposed is running on the G4 without a hassle.

Just thought you should know.

Check this file and the thread

[GUIDE] Nexus 6P Systemless Root + Xposed + Snapchat + Snapprefs (but no Android Pay)

Disclaimer: I am not a developer. I am posting this to help others who are trying to achieve the same results. I wasted a few hours of time trying various sequences of installation, different files, etc., until i finally got it right. Posting this up so it hopefully helps someone else!

Various problems I was running into:
  • Camera would stop working (any app) and show only the bottom buttons, a black screen and a camera icon in the middle.

  • Snapchat wouldn't let me login.

  • Snapprefs wouldn't work.

  • Android Pay wouldn't work. (Heads up: [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64367735&postcount=61"]you cannot have Xposed and Android Pay both working/URL]...it's not possible as of 2016/01/29. Once it is, and I test it myself, I'll update this thread.)

Here are the steps I took to get the phone Systemless rooted, get Xposed functioning, and then get SnapPrefs working (but no Android Pay).

Note: I am not providing step-by-step detailed instructions -- these are more of the general process. Make sure to read all of the information from the sources I reference.
Disclaimer: This worked for me, but I cannot guarantee this will work for everyone. I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone if you try to repeat these steps. Also, this probably voids your warranty.

Hat tip to the following threads for information on the various stages of the process, developers for their hard work, and everyone else who has put up any info about this subject!
Files Used:
Steps I took (NOTE: Do not allow TWRP to install root when it asks, "Install SuperSU now?" when exiting Recovery. Always click "Do not install."):
  1. Optional: Flash the latest official system image from Google (MMB29P). I did because I had trouble with previous attempts and wanted to start fresh.

  2. Unlock bootloader using Step 1 from this guide.

  3. Download TWRP 2.8.7.0 from above link, then install using Step 2 from this guide.

  4. Optional: Follow Steps 3 - 6 from this guide. You will now have Systemless Root.

  5. Install a file browser (I prefer Astro) then browse-to and install the Snapchat 9.21.1.0 apk. Once it's done, open and log-in to Snapchat. Make sure you are fully logged-in and can view/send snaps.

  6. Use the file browser again to browse-to and install Xposed 3.0 Alpha apk. Once it's done, open it, go to Settings and change Installation mode to "Recovery (flash zip automatically)".

  7. Open SuperSU, go to Settings, and check the box next to "Enable su during boot" (if you don't do this, when you reboot, NFC service will enter a neverending crash loop).

  8. Reboot into Recovery, install Xposed Framework v79 SDK23 for ARM64, reboot. (Remember: click "Do not install," when prompted to install SuperSU.)

  9. Once rebooted, open Xposed search-for and download Snapprefs 1.6.5. After installed, enable the Snapprefs module in Xposed, then reboot.

  10. Once rebooted, open Snapprefs and customize your settings. Set your save location, etc.

  11. That's it. You should now have functioning root, functioning Xposed, logged-in Snapchat, and functioning Snapprefs.

I know some people are going to say, "It's pointless to do Systemless root since Xposed modifies /system and breaks Android Pay," but the reason I went this route is because I normal rooting kept breaking my Camera (in any app). Maybe in the future there might be some way to keep Android Pay functioning and run Xposed modules without modifying /system...who knows.

[HELP] unrooted phone without uninstalling xPosed

Hi, I have a Wiko Highway that I want to send to warranty.

So i had my phone rooted, and unrooted it and then factory reseted it, but i forgot to uninstall xPosed and its modules.
Now i started to install some apps so i dont send the phone empty, and when installing snapchat it wont let me login (as it block's rooted phones)
So, by some way snapchat "thinks" i'm still rooted, i'm afraid the provider can tell that :/

Is there anyway to prevent this?

Thanks

Xposed on Marshmallow

It's pretty clear that the only workaround to get Xposed on LG G4 running Marshmallow is by deodexing apps. Apparently, there is a test version that was released on github that solves the issue and prevents the deodexing method. I tried it on my LG G4 running V20D and everything started working perfectly fine. I found it useful so I'm sharing the link here.

[KK/LL] Youtube ads cannot be blocked without Xposed?

Hi folks!

Has anybody on Kitkat Stock Rom (4.4.2) or Lollipop managed to get rid of Youtube adds by using apps like Adaway, Adfree or properly modifying android's Hosts file by yourself?

I've tried all above mentioned possibilities but without any success. It would be great if you can provide any solutions.

Thanks!

I cant install Xposed in Lollipop 5.1

Hello, my name is tito. I wanted to know how to install the xposed framework for Android 5.1. I've downloaded the apk, i've downloaded the zip files, i tried to use twrp recovery to flash the files but i cant install it. I choose the most recent version, then i go to install and it downloads the file, then it give's me a message saying: Ensure the partition listed below is the correct one for your device. If you do not verify this then you risk bricking. On some devices it is impossible to flash recovery while in android. If flashing doesn't work for you then please flash recovery a different way. /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery. And it give's me two options: NO-YES. If i choose no, it doesn't do anything, if i choose yes it says me: Please wait: Flashing and recovery or something like that. Then it give's me an error saying: Something is wrong: Flashing recovery was unsuccessful. Either you already have this recovery installed or another error has occurred. Would you like to attempt rebooting to recovery now? If i choose CANCEL it doesn't do anything, if i choose OK it reboots my device and it appears the android logo with a warning icon on him. I thought my phone was broken. I turned off it and it tried to turn on it again, and thanks god that it wasnt broken. I've tried a lot of things. My phone is an LG Leon (NOT LTE) (Its rooted) and i suspect that the reason of this is that this app makes me say to it what phone i have, and i pick LG Leon LTE because there isn't anyone that says only LG Leon. Please help me. I just want to have the Xposed installer. When i had kitkat it was pretty easy. I've never used this things of rom's and custom recoverys, i dont understand anything of that. I made a Nandroid Backup. I have BusyBox installed. Can this be happening because i dont have the bootloader unlocked? If it's that please explain me how can i unlock it, because there's not too many tutorials about my phone. If theres another way to install Xposed Installer, or there's another custom recovery i can use, please tell me.

Thank you all. Tito
