Auto enable data connection when app used and disable when closed

Hello,

I search an application for my Samsung S2 - I9100. Im using specific application which need internet mobile connection (every other app is block by Droidwall). Ideally when app need connection so data enabled after close data disabled.

Does exist some app please? Or setting in android?

Data Sanitizer is simple data remanence wiping tool, it ensures that no data can be recovered.
Started as a fun project when I wanted to sell my phone, then I decided to slap some UI on it and publish it on Google Play :D

MMS without Cellular Data on S3?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to get MMS to download without manually turning on cellular data. My LG G2 used to do this automatically. I don't pay for cellular data, but I get free MMS with my texting bundle. With the G2, it would download the MMS but I wouldn't get charged data fees.

Now that I've switched to the S3, I can no longer do this. Is there any way to get that working? I've tried a few different APN settings but no luck so far.

Any help is much appreciated.

Did Darklord N5 now I only have data for a few min then it say's no data connection?

I did the build number Darklord N5 (looking at settings), Kernal 3.4.0 Kernal now I only have data for a few min then it say's no data connection? It's a Sprint Note 3 and still using Sprint. But the model number no longer says SM-900P and now says SM-9020C.

It's like Sprint lets me have data and then see's something it doesn't like about the mod and shuts off my data. It always works at first then goes away within 5 min and says no data connection and roaming is turned off. And if I get data again will I still have LTE? So far I just saw 3G when it was working.

Other than that I love the update but I can't do without mobile data. Please help.

Need help with portforwarding over 3g data on android

I am having an app that needs config about portforwarding. I am using 3g mobile data and dont have any router. I need to use the app. Is there a way I can portforward . I used an app whih showed me that I have 0 ports open. Plz help me with that. I want to use a remote app for which I need the portforward tut. I've also heard that I could use VPN. Please give me step by step procedure......... Any help would be highly appreciated.

Data and Messaging on MetroPCS not working

Hey guys, I know I have not been a member long, but I really need some help. I recently switched to MetroPCS as my service provider from AT&T. All is good and well except I can't use data or send mms messages. I have searched the forums, called their customer support, and looked everywhere I could for info. I have changed the APN settings several different ways, and some of them will work temporarily, other times it won't at all. I am using an unlocked Nexus 6 running CyanogenMod 13 nightlies. i cant wipe my mobile data heeeeelllp

Hey guys I'm running dn4 v2 on my mobile galaxy note 2, and whenever I wipe data in clockworkmod recovery it powers off and reboots.... everything else works, flashing ROMs, wiping cache and dalvik cache, but wiping data restarts the phone back into recovery. I ttried flashing TWRP but that recovery results in a boot loop, in which I had to flash CWM again from Odin..... I really do not know how to fix this, the ROM I'm running works so bad , and I really can't flash other roms without being able to wipe data......

Hello, I have a problem with the phone. I have a Samsung S3. Two days ago he suddenly began to restart. Remix os rebooting after checking data partition

Hello. Im having difficulties running remix os. I have installed it on hdd on a 30 gb fat32 partition. I downloaded the legacy version and my bios is legacy. I dont have uefi option in bios. Why does it reboot when checking data partition. On speed test i got 9.2 mb per second if that helps. Im trying to run remix os in resident mode. It also doesnt work in guest mode.

Mobile Data and Wifi connection problem

I've been having a problem recently where even though both wifi and mobile data say they are connected, I can't acutally get online. I see an error v30 toast pop up regarding voicemail (if that's related) and when I try to use a browser, it doesn't load the page and gives me a dns error message.

This happens across rooms (after clean installs, every time) and even after wiping dalvik, cache, data, system, and internal multiple times in TWRP and doing a data format on internal multiple times, then flashing stock ok4 in Odin. Still no data. I then hunted down the ok4 modem and flashed that through Odin - nothing. So not even going back to stock (at least the way I'm doing it) fixes it.

The only thing that works is that I have a nandroid backup of the stock, rooted, deodexed ok4 rom with the kt kernel, which can connect via wifi and/or mobile data. If I want data though, I'm stuck on this rom. (When mobile data is turned off on this rom, there's an exclamation point by the network signal. Not sure if that's related.)

(If it's related, I've also been getting an invalid card error instead of seeing the carrier name on asop roms.)

Anyone know how to repair this?

Should I give up my unlimited data?

I have a heretical question: Should I keep my unlimited data if I'm not really using it.

My wife and I have unlimited data, kids are on 2GB plans.

My wife uses max 1.5 - 2 GB a month over the past 6 months. I use average of 8GB/month, high of 12 GB, low of 4 GB over past six months. My big data use is videos while on the elliptical at the gym. I can only work out so much, so unlikely my usage will ever get any higher. I don't stream much music at all. Stream some talk radio in the car since local reception sucks. I've never needed to do any heavy tethering, don't see that changing either.

So it seems we could easily be on an 18GB or 20 GB plan (0 or 0 month plus /line). Assume 3GB for each son (they get a data upgrade), 2 GB for wife, leaving 10 or 12 for me depending on 18 or 20 GB plan.

That saves us about a month. Of course then we pay full price for our own phones....if we compare the 2 year cost assuming upgrading on current plan for ~0 a person vs. buying phones for the four of us, comes out to about 0 year cheaper for the new Verizon plan. Not big money at all, but I could find other things to spend it on.

So my question is this - if I'm not currently and never have really used my unlimited data to any great extent should I still care about it and pay more for it for the future? Are there changes to how data is used on phones and how phones use data coming down the line where I might say "Oh man, crazy of me to give up unlimited data!"

Or is this a simple $ calculation? If it's cheaper to go to the Verizon plan and I don't need the unlimited data, let it go.

Data help

for some reason whenever i try and flash a 6.0 rom my mobile data wont work. on 5.1.1 it works fine but 6.0 an rom i try the data wont turn on and when i go int other cellular network settings and chose an network it disconnects and then i have no signal at all. does anyone know what i should do ? i clean flashed the rom too before installing.

APN is correct.
Sim is working fine in other mobile phones.
No 'fly' or 'energie saving' mode.

[repost]Problem with Data Connection

Hey,

Since I have bought my X Play I am continuously having data connection problem.
The problem is:

As I turn off my WiFi the Mobile data isn't connected on 4G/3G/2G on the first sim slot as well as 2G on second sim slot.
Also, I try turning the Data switch On and Off, doesn't work. At times it does work when I try to switch to Airplane mode and back to network or when disable/enable sim slot.

The problem existed since 5.1.1 and then 6.0 and now on custom firmware which is rooted.
I have tried with more than 10 service providers and in 2 different countries and still exists.

Do you have any experience with such a problem and any possible solutions?

Samsung J5; turn off background data restriction?

I recently bought a Samsung J5 J500F. At the moment it is rooted with TWRP, no other major mods.

Anyway, I have turned off the 'restrict background data' option; but as I check through the 'DATA USAGE' tab, some apps seem to have the restrict background data highlighted regardless. Even if I turn them back off, they seem to automatically enable them again.

I'm not sure how to put an absolute end to this restriction. I do have titanium backup and can freeze a system process if required; anyone have an idea about this?

Set mobile data limit menu is missing

Hi,

I have Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (dual SIM card) phone and it's not rooted. Android version is 4.4.2. and there is no update for it. I don't have any apps installed that modify Settings menus. When I go to "Data usage" menu, I don't see "Mobile data" or "Set mobile data limit" options. There is only "Data usage cycle" dropdown list with previous cycle ranges. Anyone knows how to get back those options. I need to set mobile data limit on my phone and I don't know how.
